Plain Left Foot Mocassin of Edward Bent Box Sr.
This left foot mocassin has a leather sole, leather upper and leather tongue. The upper has holes through which a leather thong is threaded so that the moccasin can be secured around the ankle. The moccasins were worn in the Sun Dance. There is a Doctor Scholl's inside.
Objects belonging to Edward Bent Box Sr. were donated to History Colorado in 2014 by his widow and executor of his estate, Diane Box. Their wishes were that his possessions return to Colorado, where he was born and lived much of his life.
