Description

Fabric for rag rug is hand sewn in strips tucking in edges then the strips are braded in one continuous strip, laying out the pattern it was then sewn together to make the varigated design.

Provenance

This rug appears to have been made by E. Fae Stanely Oram (based on design and over-all appearance). However, it is possible that it was made by Mary Stanley or Auriel Oram Sandstead. The rugs were certainly used by Fae, Auriel and Mary.
