Embroidered patch . On a green background the numeral "2," the middle and upper strokes red, the lower portion white.

Provenance

This patch is one of seventeen that were found among the personal effects of Laura Evans, a brothel madam who ran her business in Salida, Colorado from 1896-1950. It is suspected that the patches represent clients of Ms. Evans. The objects are among other of Evans' belongings that were collected by Fred Mazulla circa 1941-1953.
