Donated in 1974 from the estate of Bertha V. Perry. Perry was the first woman to graduate from Westminster Law School (University of Denver) in 1919. She was the daughter of Joseph G. and Rose Caspar Vaessen, life-long residents of Colorado. She was the assistant to General Attorney D. and R.G. Railroad Company; secretary and director of the women's bureau of the Chamber of Commerce; Director of Big Sister Committee (precursor to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Organization); member of the Denver Bar Association; Women's Law Club, Young Women's Clio Club (the exploration and preservation of history). She was married to Harold Webster Perry. She died in 1977.
