Drum is made of wood frame with rawhide stretched over the front. Painted on the rawhide are red geometric shapes.

According to catalog card, drum was found in old cabin on Bear Creek. According to wikipedia (accessed 05/15/2017), Bear Creek is a tributary of the South Platte River in central Colorado and its source is Summit Lake near Mount Evans. The stream flows to a confluence with the South Platte River in Sheridan Colorado, south of Denver. EAN 05/15/2017.
