*Illustrated in the postcard foreground are horse drawn carriages, horse drawn cart, probably packed sand, sidewalk,poles, trees, shops, awning. Peoaple, mostly men are walking on the wide street. To the left of the postcard a lady stands under a white awning in front of a store named "The Rob Roy", on the right side of the postcard is a sidewalk with trees, boats at the dock. Men walking along the path of the dock. The left middleground is lined with two story shops. The one on the corner has awnings on the side and front, it is advertising rugs, hats. chairs, ties, etc. The next building has flowers in the second floor windows, a pink and white candy stripped awning with plants above the awning. The next store is very small width wise, no awning visible. A yellow and brown building has a pink and white candy stripped awning, people are standing in front next to a horse darwn carriage and it would appear that bundles are piled around on the sidewalk The rest of the buildings on down the line almost all have awnings extending over the sidewalk. Trees along the water side, many people walking or standing. In the background are more buldings possibly apartment or hotels, in the far distance water can be seen. A long building with chimneys and a tower is on the right background. The horizon has a light pinkish cast to it, then the blue sky and some clouds.
