Digital Stories
In February 2007 the Colorado Historical Society/History Colorado and the Center for Digital Storytelling offered a three-day workshop to Denver's Italian American community. Ten participants worked one-on-one with assistants to record their personal stories. KBDI Channel 12 was on hand to film the process. That footage is presented here and will also be used in a public television documentary.
The Center for Digital Storytelling (www.storycenter.org) offers workshops to groups and individuals in Denver and across the country. The organization trains people in the art of personal storytelling, helping them to craft, record, illustrate, and edit the final product. The Colorado Historical Society is pleased to include the stories from our workshop in the Italians of Denver exhibit and to keep them in the archives as a permanent record of individual experiences in Colorado.
