This is a black wooden box designed to hold glassplates. On one side of the black box there is a removable black door made of very thin wood. On the other side of the black box there is a slidiing door with a medal handle that will open or close. The sliding door is made of very thin pieces of laminated wood and is highly varnished. The corners of the box are lockjointed. There is a small spring bar on the back side of the removable black door. This door also has a small lip on both ends that fit in slots in the black box. The spring bar holds the door in place on the box. When both the sliding door and removable black door are in place the film is held and creates the box. There is a leather handle on the black door. There is a circle indented into the door which would hold the leather handle by a small brass plate and two small screws. There is a small brass plate with two screws on the side of the frame. There are two small holes on the side of the frame.
