C. E. Perugini, a native of Italy, but long a resident of England, was born 1840. He paints genre pictures, refined in sentiment and graceful and pleasing in composition, design and technic.

III. - The First Spoken Words of Love (see description above). L. Jimenez was born at Seville (Spain); studied in the Academy of Seville, and then spent ten years in Italy, after which (in 1875) he made Paris his home.
