Picture taken of the Rocky Mountains from a train after having passed the Continental Divide. Some powerlines and fencing are visible in the foreground against a green field. Snow covers much of the peaks in view, though the foothills are already clear of snow.
Pictures taken by Ralph Hulbert, Company F, 86th Mountain Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division. Hulbert was a scout sniper and one of two known soldiers equipped as archers in Italy. Copies of many of the included photographs were also donated to the Denver Public Library and can be found in their image database.
