Another view of the Italian winter countryside, apparently again near Spigalino ridge. No soldiers or buildings can be seen, though there does appear to be a cart of some kind in a field in the distance. Snow is covering the ground and much of the mountains in the distance.
Pictures taken by Ralph Hulbert, Company F, 86th Mountain Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division. Hulbert was a scout sniper and one of two known soldiers equipped as archers in Italy. Copies of many of the included photographs were also donated to the Denver Public Library and can be found in their image database.
