Child's white leather boots, belonging to Dorothy McIntire, daughter of former governor of Colorado from 1895-1897
Child's left boot of white leather upper and brown base. Scalloped 5-button closure on outer left side. Visible seaming appears to be machine-done. Fabric interior liner.
Donated by Dorothy (Lord McIntire) Cortez (1887-1975). Dorothy was the daughter of A.W. McIntire (1853-1935), former governor of Colorado from 1895-1897. The boots were worn by her brother, Joseph P. McIntire, who was the class baby boy of Yale in 1873.
