Painting is from a snap shot of "Longs Peak" from the Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado. Depicted in foreground are many large and small rocks, on left some are shaded from the bigger ones on the right. Middle ground are several mountain ranges of different shades of blue, back ground is "Longs Peak" with its snow covered peak. Frame is natural varnished wood , mitered corners, joined with nails. On back small strips of wood, 3/8 X 1/4 reinforce the four sides. Right side is a photograph and text about Joseph Konopka. Left side hand printed name of painting, his cursive signature. Bottom is hand printed his name, address, city and state with telephone. Same information is stamped bottom right corner. Original wood frame--framed by artist and sent to CHS in frame.
