Photograph shows billboard with poster advertising Tops Coffee Shops. Top half of board is white, red/blue text with faces of three children (white, Spanish and Black) that indicates everything is half price for kids. Bottom half is dark blue with red and white text. Note: The company Roadposter was located in Denver and Littleton. The exact location of this billboard is unknown, further research needs to be done. Location may be in the History Colorado MSS collection. This item is part of the Roadposter collection. In 1955, Tom Magee founded Roadposter, an outdoor advertising and billboard company in Denver, Colorado (company later located in Littleton as sticker on 92.467.2 indicates). Except for the actual posting of the posters, Magee did all the work connected with his plant. This involved leasing, selling, servicing, office work, and erecting the poster panels. His wife Julianne (noted as Judy in attached article and in HC file; obit does not mention "Judy") did all of the necessary artwork. The Roadposter collection (including art, photos, posters and MSS material) spans the life of the company from 1955 to 1990. See attached bio sketch for Tom Magee and obit for Julianne Magee for additional information.
Between 1990 and 2003 five collections (90.126, 91.1, 91.27/MSS.01479 (parts later put on receipt R.173.2003), 92.234 and 92.467) were accepted by History Colorado related to the business Roadposter.
