Miner ; Colorado Mountain and History slides
This slide is a colored photograph of a back and white photograph taken circa 1900. The image shows a man dumping the contents of a mining cart off the edge of a gravel hill. Behind the man, there is a steep snowy hillside dotted with small bushes and large, bare trees.
Donated by Cherry Moore in 2014. The photographs were taken by her father, Charles Moore. He was born and raised on a ranch in Eldorado Springs in 1913. He was an avid camper and mountaineer and had hiked half of Colorado's 14'ers. He joined the hiking club during his time at CU (graduated in 1934). Most of the slides are photograph dating between 1930 and 1990. Charles Moore passed away in 1994.
