Royal ; Clyde Stanley's Traveling Typewriter
At back (7" X 12 3/4") flat piece that slants 6" to covee the typewriter. Front piece is 3", this is where the leather handle is secured with metal holder, also the locking mechanism. All bottom corners are reinforced with pieces of black metal strips attached with rivits. Inside cover are the four metal feet to rest the case on. On each side are round hollow metal pieces for securing the typewriter to the back. Slanted piece has "ROYAL" embossed in black.
Per a meeting with the donor at CHS on 7/15/10 the typewriter (one of three that he owned) was used by Clyde as he traveled from town to town on the Colorado Plains to collect local news to take back to Keota for the newspaper.
