Stapleton Airport ; Colorado Mountain and History slides
This slide is a photograph of a black and white photograph taken in 1932. The image is an aerial photo of the Stapleton Airport. It shows a parking lot of the left, a large dark colored building to the right, a runway leading to a white buildings and more parked vehicles. There are roads at the bottom of the picture that lead to and from the airport.
Donated by Cherry Moore in 2014. The photographs were taken by her father, Charles Moore. He was born and raised on a ranch in Eldorado Springs in 1913. He was an avid camper and mountaineer and had hiked half of Colorado's 14'ers. He joined the hiking club during his time at CU (graduated in 1934). Most of the slides are photograph dating between 1930 and 1990. Charles Moore passed away in 1994.
