Ore cart with flowers ; Colorado Mountain and History slides
This slide shows an ore cart on the side of the street that is being used as a flower garden. It is a dark metal cart with yellow and pink flowers inside. The inscription identifies the location as Leadville.
Donated by Cherry Moore in 2014. The photographs were taken by her father, Charles Moore. He was born and raised on a ranch in Eldorado Springs in 1913. He was an avid camper and mountaineer and had hiked half of Colorado's 14'ers. He joined the hiking club during his time at CU (graduated in 1934). Most of the slides are photograph dating between 1930 and 1990. Charles Moore passed away in 1994.
Written on the back of the slide in ink: "Ore cart with flowers Leadville / 6/24/70"
