Ludlow Monument ; Colorado Mountain and History slides
This slide shows the Ludlow monument partially covered in shade. It is a tall pillar with an inscription dedicated to the men, woman and children who lost their lives in 1914. There are two statues, one of a man and one of a woman, in front of the pillar.
Donated by Cherry Moore in 2014. The photographs were taken by her father, Charles Moore. He was born and raised on a ranch in Eldorado Springs in 1913. He was an avid camper and mountaineer and had hiked half of Colorado's 14'ers. He joined the hiking club during his time at CU (graduated in 1934). Most of the slides are photograph dating between 1930 and 1990. Charles Moore passed away in 1994.
Written on the back of the slide in ink: "Ludlow monument / Ludlow, Colo / 8-71"
