The exterior of this laddle has two designs that resemble ladders. They are partially obliterated by a fire cloud. The interior surface of the ladle has vertical stripes beginning at the rim and extending to the middle of the body at which point scratching and wear begins to obliterate the design on the bottom and the sides. Most of the handle is missing but what is left of it shows that it was flat.
