Gonzales was a nursing student at Los Angeles General Hospital School of Nursing in California at the time this photograph was shot circa 1927. Gonzales' parents were Fecundo Joseph Baca (1870-1940) and Isabelle (Belle) Garcia Baca (born 1874). She married Miguel A. Gonzales (1877-1957) in 1941 and they had a daughter (Consuelo) Isabel Gonzales born circa 1943. Consuelo was the granddaughter of (Don) Felipe Baca (circa 1829-1874) and (Maria) Delores Gonzales Baca (1831-1915), a prominent Hispanic family, who in 1862, were among the first to settle in the area now known as Trinidad, Colo.
