Discharge document for Lorenzo Taylor noting that her was a member of Company B, 64th Regiment, New York State, entered August 18, 1864 and discharged May 30, 1865. Note, article with drum H.4490.1 indicated he joined in 1862. In 1901 Taylor moved into the National Military Home in Los Angeles, California. At the time of his application for the home, he is listed as age 75, carpenter, protestant, widower with a daughter Flor M. Taylor, living in Eagle Grove, Iowa. He remained in the home until his death in 1927.
