These leggings are made of smoked buckskin. There is fringe along the outer edge of the legging. Each legging is adorned with 6 buffalo head buttons and a strip of beadwork. The beadwork was originally part of a pair of leggings made from red wool felt. The beading was originally made in the 1950s. The beadwork strips have a white background with 2 geometric designs alternating. One design appears to be a tipi, in green, red, light and dark blue, and yellow. The other design bears two American flags and two other designs in green and gold. Along the top edge is a row of navy beading and along the lower edge is a row of green beading. The leggings were worn at a variety of events, but not Sun Dance.
