Star Shaped Military Brads; in envelope
Items are two 1/8in star shaped brads. The material appears to be tin or brass but there is significant discoloration due to oxidation. The stars are prismatic as opposed to flat or rounded. the prongs on the brads are about a ¼ in in length and are bent in an inconsistent way suggesting prior use. Brads like this are most frequently used in clothing. Even though there is no specific mention of them in the collections notes, they are likely associated with the Marine Corps given the style and the context of the collection.
The original packaging is a small paper envelope with the top 1/4 torn away and folded over past the tear to hold its contents.
