This poster is a good example of advertising of the gay bar scene in the 1970s and 1980s. The bar's name was "1942" or as it was nicknamed "the 42" or just "42," and was located at 1942 N Broadway, Denver CO down a couple of doors from the also popular bar, The Triangle. The bar was one of the more popular bars during this time with this poster wanted by patrons to own.
This poster features three men in brown ink on yellow paper. The leftmost man wears a leather jacket, a leather hat, and has a mustache. The man to the left and behind the third man is dressed as a cowboy wearing a cowboy hat a flannel shirt and has a handle-bar mustache. The third man is in front of the cowboy clean-shaven and shirtless. There is a black border that surrounds all three men and within the border, on the bottom middle of the poster is text that reads "Denver 1942 Colorado". Below the text and the border is text that says "1942 Broadway 861-9847". Within the border on the top left corner, there is text that reads, "Yawn".
