This tin lunchbox is comprised of several different components. A clear sheet of glass slides into one end of the pail. Inside, an oil burner provides light through the glass, as well as heat, to warm the contents of the pail. Next to this compartment fits a large rectangular tin box with a screw-on cap. This tin would have contained tea or coffee that was heated by the flame of the burner next to it. Fitted into the top level is a rectangular drop-in tray that would have warmed the miner's meal . A tea cup fits over the center of the lunch bucket’s lid.
