Biographical History on the original owner of can and label set is taken from the Denver Public Library's information from their collection by same donor. Donor's are sisters and daughter's of original owner, Gano Senter. Gano Senter and wife Laurena were politically active in Denver, as well as restauranteurs. Gano and Laurena were well established in the Denver chapter of the Ku Klux Klan during the 1920's, which was becoming was one of the most powerful in the country. Each had a nickname, Gano was "Great Titan of the Province of the North", while Laurena was "Imperial Commander of the Women of the Ku Klux Klan of Colorado." The Senter's were active in the arts as well and opened the Senter's Art Center. The daughter's are still donors to fine arts throughout Denver, most recently in 2008, Alice (Senter) Maercklein donated $500 to the Colorado Opera.
