The collection contains approximately 127 audio recordings, 37 video recordings, and papers detailing police reports, and coverage of the trial of the murder of Alan Berg in 1981, correspondence and materials related to Judith Lee Berg's later years as a speaker around the subject of hate crimes from about 1990-1995. The collection also contains Mrs. Berg's research and materials relating to development of a course on human relationship correspondence in the 1990s. There are also materials in the collection related to Mrs. Berg's reporting of the Oklahoma City Bombing Trial from 1994-2000.
Alan Berg was an attorney and talk radio host in Denver, Colorado who was known for his confrontational interview style and liberal viewpoints. On the evening of June 18, 1984, Berg was murdered in the driveway of his Denver home by members of The Order, a white nationalist group. The papers and recordings in this collection detail the events that led up to the murder, as well as some of Mrs. Berg's later work as a speaker and reporter, particularly around the Oklahoma City Bombing Trial.
Additional books related to Judith Berg's work teaching about anti-semitism and a poster were added to the collection in 2019. They have been listed in a separate inventory.
