Walnut table made from Senate Bar in Leadville. Donated by George A. Dollison on 8/20/50. The table was at one time the bar top in the old Senate Saloon in Leadville. When the Saloon was wrecked, J.E. Dollison (the donor's father) bought the bar top and built this table to use as a scale table in his assay office in Alma. The walnut wood was freighted from St. Louis, Missouri by a bull team in the 1860’s. J.E. Dollison had an extremely sensitive gold scale on the table that measured millions of dollars of gold during his lifetime. J.E. Dollison died in 1941. His son then donated the table on his father’s behalf.
