This is a handmade steel leverage tool that was used for extracting posts and poles from the earth. Welded vertically onto a square steel base is a waist-high steel pole. Attached with a pivot at the top of the pole is a long-handled steel bar. Most of the length of the handle bar is below the pivot joint. Attached to the tip of the handle on the short end past the pivot joint is a steel chain. The chain length is adjustable through a loop at the end of the handle. Welded to the tip of the chain is a steel hook.
