General Note: Part of the CWA Pioneer Interviews Collection. Consists of a biographical sketch of Archer Dodge, an early day resident of western Colorado. Born in 1867 in New Hampshire, Dodge came to Kansas in 1885, where he worked as a cowboy with the Smoky Hill Cattle Company. In 1886 he moved to Denver, Colorado, where he again worked on a ranch owned by Valentine Devinny. Later he returned to New Jersey to complete his education, and in 1920 he came to Montrose, Colorado, where he worked for many years as a carpenter and tradesman
