General Note: Part of the CWA Pioneer Interviews Collection. Title supplied by cataloger. Consists of an interview with S.C. "Solon" Patterson, an early-day resident of Rio Blanco County, Colorado. Born in 1853 in Barre, Vermont, Patterson moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1880. Working for a time as a cowboy, Patterson later found employment with the Union Pacific Railroad as a surveyor. Returning to Colorado in 1884, he moved to Rio Blanco County in 1885. In much of this interview Patterson relates his experiences working as a hunter in the early days of the county.
