The Buck Tunnel Raiilway Company was chartered in 1890 to help construct a segment of the Colorado Midland Railway in Lake and Pitkin, Counties, Colorado from Busk to Ivanhoe. Opening in 1893 the newly-constructed line replaced an older line that ran through the Hagerman Tunnel. In 1899 the company was acquired by the Colorado Midland Railway.
