General Note: Part of the CWA Pioneer Interviews Collection. Consists of a short essay written by Jane Amick, a resident of Rio Blanco County, Colorado on the history of the Josephine Rebekah Lodge No. 86 of the International Order of Odd Fellows. The lodge was named in honor of Josephine Meeker, who was kidnapped and held for a time by a band of Ute Indians after the murder of her father, Nathan C. Meeker and the destruction of the White River Indian Agency in 1879.
