Piano scarf was hand-woven and embroidered as a wedding gift to the donor's aunt. Side edges were finished in gold rayon tape, one side attached by machine, when hem was turned sewn by hand. Each edge hem was turned to the right side and with gold wool yarn were attached with five straight lines, tied with green embroidery thread, split into two sections, tied with green thread that made the tassel, all of these are joined together in this same fashion. Each end is embroidered in the same design, a sort of half moon shape in off white, cream brown and tan, there are eleven lines of different lengths coming from this design, between these two alike designs are two shades of green that resemble a bow shape, but probably a leaf since lines run through the shape, this same leaf design is on both sides meeting in the middle of the scarf to more half-moon shapes like the ends, green leaf continues down to the other end. Back is finished without any knots and but for the hem could be reversible.
