Susan Squibb is a Cannabis Business Executive and Paralegal with over 20 years of experience working in the pot industry in Colorado. She was part of the marijuana legalization efforts in the state since the first ballot initiatives, and is now (2020) transitioning her career into the legal profession as a paralegal around trademark and business law. She became an accredited paralegal in 2017. She holds a BS in Anthropology from the University of Colorado.
Susan has been a cannabis writer and speaker since 2013 under the name “Cannabis Maven,” and had a regular column in the Denver Post “Ask the Cannabist” on their online site from 2013-2017. She is the Founder and Producer of Mother High Tea, an innovative event for women and mothers in the cannabis industry and movement.
She held a contract with the City and County of Denver and Aramark to vend “Hemp I Scream!” during summer concert seasons from 2004-2010. She has also participated in a number of conferences and cannabis-industry events, including those around the 2008 Democratic National Convention, held in Denver, which held a parallel Hemp Cannabis National Convention at the same time. Because Colorado was one of the first states to legalize marijuana, many national cannabis industry efforts were held in the state.
