Community Lending Resource
Receive exclusive access to objects from History Colorado’s collection by borrowing pre-packaged Curated Colorado Stories! The Curatorial Services and Collections Access (CSCA) department’s Community Lending Resource connects with Rural Partners of smaller museums, historic sites, libraries, and community centers with ready-to-display loans of objects, reproduction photos, interpretive labels, and programming ideas around a central theme.
Each Curated Colorado Story consists of 5-10 History Colorado Collection objects based on a movement, people, place, subject, area in Colorado, or historic event and fit in 1-2 display cases. Click the tabs to see the stories, objects, and images included in each Curated Colorado Story.
Rural partners will be able to borrow, for a nominal fee of $150, one Curated Colorado Story at a time for a period of 3 - 6 months (depending on the season and availability for shipments). Shipments are completed through FedEx (included in the nominal fee), cannot be shipped to PO Boxes, and someone must be present to sign for the totes. Additional services provided by CSCA staff are available for purchase.
