Collection consists of a prospectus (ca. 1891) and a newspaper article from the Lakewood Sentinel (May 25, 1972) entitled "Lakewood's Only Train--a Glimpse of the Past." The Denver, Lakewood and Golden Railroad was organized in 1892 to build and operate a rail line from Denver to Golden via Lakewood, Colorado. The company went into receivership in 1896, and in 1904 the Denver Intermountain Railway emerged as its successor. Part of the Mini-MSS Collection.
