Illustrated in the postcard with a black background in the middle is a lady wearing an old costume and hat from Fermanville Manche, France. Her white apron covers the dress, sleeves of the dress are black,on her lap might be a piece she is working on since a thread can be seen in her right hand. Her shawl is a flower pattern with black fringe around the edge. Her hat is white, the crown is tall and fan shapped with a bow in the middle, the front folds back away from her face.
