Color 16mm home movie with no sound on cellulose acetate film base, made by Denver physician Tracy Robinson Love (1878-1961), circa 1935-1940. The film depicts a trip to San Antonio, Texas taken by the Love family and depicts the Alamo, San Jose Mission, and animals.
Tracy Robinson Love was the son of Minnie Ceclia Tucker Love (1855-1942) and Charles G. Love (1849-1907). Minnie was a physician who graduated from the Howard University Medical School in 1887. In 1897, she established the Babies Summer Hospital, a summer tent hospital for babies and toddlers,at 18th and Gaylord in Denver. It operated during the summers of 1897 and 1898 and was precursor of Children's Hospital, which opened in 1910. Tracy Robinson Love was also a physician.
