This is a band of sheet metal, possibly German silver or a comparable amalgam, that has been cut and shaped into an armband that would have been worn around the upper arm. It is just over two inches wide and the diameter is adjustable. Three oblong holes running lengthwise through the middle of the band have been cut or punched out of the metal at one end. Another smaller single hole has been made at the other end. Presumably, some type of thong would have run through the holes attaching one end to the other to secure the band tightly around the arm. In addition, there is another larger hole in the armband that appears to be a bullet hole.
