Collection consists of correspondence written by William Ebenezer Ford while touring various mining districts, including those in Aspen, Victor, Ouray, and Telluride, Colorado. A mining engineer, Ford helped revise a standard mining textbook of the early 20th century, Edward S. Dana's Manual of Mineralogy. The correspondence in this collection appears to have been written to Ford's father. See also: MSS #1170.
