Collection consists of correspondence (ca. 1859-1922), clippings, and other material relating to John Thomas Scott. Born in Utica, New York in 1839, Moss went to the west in 1857. Until his death in 1880, Moss would find employment as a pony express rider, a scout, a prospector, an indian agent, and a member of the Colorado State Legislature. Moss founded the town of Parrot City in Colorado.
