White molded plastic hard hat has domed crown with molded "V" running from front to back and narrow visor. Underside of hat has pierced gray rubber sweatband insert across the forehead and gray faille ribbon bands that stretch from front to back and side to side. A gray plastic band that encircles the head on the inside of the hat has a black knob in the center back that adjusts the fit. Back inside of hat has a long rectangular paper label glued to it with manufacturing information and a disclaimer about how much protection the product offers.
Hard hat bears decals from the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe on the right side and from the Weminuche Construction Authority on the left side. The center front has a flag decal with an ALP decal on the front left side.
The hat beonged to Lynn Hartman, who along with representatives of the two Ute tribes monitored cultural resources during the Animas-LaPlata Project.
