A badge with bronze colored metal pin and medal connected by red and white vertical striped ribbon. The pin has a large raised design of the word Denver curved concave down with a cowboy on a rearing horse depicted in front of the middle two letters. This design is on top of a rectangular frame for a name (which is empty). On the top edge of this frame is a scroll design with one line of text and on the bottom is another line of text. The back of this pin is welded to a safety pin type of fastener above the metal bar that is attached to the ribbon. The ribbon is attached by going over the pin and being sewn in place by white thread. This ribbon is gathered at the bottom to go through a metal loop that is attached to the medal by a metal link. On the front of the ribbon is one line of gold printed text. The medal is in a elongated shield shape that is finished like a scroll at the top with a raised design of leaves above each top corner and drapery down both sides. The main design on this medal has a raised small Maltese cross medal for the veterans of foreign wars at the top above the raised design of billowing clouds and rays above an image of a building that looks like Civic Center Park. This is above more billowing clouds and a statue of a man on a horse with one foot up with two figures at the base in front of several buildings.
