Collection consists of a scrapbook of clippings compiled by Horace Tool DeLong. A Colorado State Senator for Mesa and Delta Counties, DeLong came to Colorado in 1885. A prominent entrepreneur in real estate and the insurance industry, DeLong served as a state senator from 1902-1910. Much of the material in the scrapbooks consist of articles dealing with specific concerns of Colorado's Western Slope especially agriculture and irrigation. There are also many clippings on the Methodist Episcopal Church of Colorado.
