Collection consists of a diary containing a record of the activities fof John B. Goodman, a commander of a Colorado National Guard battalion that was called to active duty in 1916 in response to violence on the border between the United States and Mexico near Douglas, Utah. The unit was at a mobilization camp near Golden, Colorado, until mid-October of 1916, when it was moved to Douglas.
