Miner's lamp used by Frank Jordinelli in the coal mines in Marshall, Colorado about 1885. Jordinelli was born in Italy in 1876 and worked in the coal mines in the Louisville area from the late 1800s until 1936. He married Rose LaSalle and their daughter married Louis DeRose (relative of the donor). Frank Jordinelli died in Louisville in 1969 at the age of 94. See attached for more information. Well worn miner's carbide lamp with hook that allows the user to mount the lamp to a helmet by means of a bracket. There are 18 control slots on top that allow the user to set the water valve to set positions. This valve control is set on the 13th slot. This lamp is similar to IL.2006.6.8.
