This collection contains stories written by third grade students of Colorado Academy, located in south Denver, explaining how students' families came to live in Colorado. Included in the stories are pictures of the student who wrote the story, a brief paragraph summarizing their story, and at least one typed page of their family's history. Many of these stories describe the students moving to Colorado in the 1990s, but some students' families came to Colorado in the 1800s. This school project was initiated by the class's teacher, Susan Andrews, and highlights the students' awareness and understanding of their presence in Colorado.
