This figure has a carved wooden head attached to a carved wood body. The head is gesso-covered with painted hair and facial features. Her eyes are glass. The head is attached to a hand-carved wooden body, also gesso-coated and painted. The doll has been modified with wooden lower arms and legs that are not original to the body. Hair and eyebrows are painted light brown, lips and cheeks are light pink. Both arms are fixed in place to the body at the shoulder with a tiny wood dowel and glue, as evidenced at the left arm, which is detached from the body. The hands and shoes are not in proportion to the legs and arms and do not appear to be original to the figure. The figure is clothed in a reinforced beige silk dress and two petticoats. The dress has lace trim at the neck and under the sleeve, and woven braid trim at the waist and above the hem. The hem is bound with green cording. A beige organdy liner with woven floral pattern attaches to the dress at the waist. Both petticoats are made of linen or a heavy cotton.
